Without a glimmer of hope, President Bush has decided to cut his losses and jettison and concilliatory niceties for global warming issues. He’ll just amble through the rest of the G8 summit as best he can.
Perhaps his acknowledgement of the problem (“I recognize that the surface of the earth is warmer and that an increase in greenhouse gases caused by humans is contributing to the problem.”), combined with his distaste for the Kyoto Protocol, will vault environmentalism into a new fever pitch…?
