 <description>&lt;p&gt;Over the next five years, 26 researchers and 30 partners will explore how location-based technologies and social media transform the way Canadian cities and citizens communicate with each other.  <title>SSHRC Public Outreach Grant awarded</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;Sieber is part of a team that has just obtained a Federal Government SSHRC Public Outreach Grant called &lt;em&gt;Humanities Dissemination &amp;amp; Making Publics using the Resource Description Framework (RDF)&lt;/em&gt; to build an experimental RDF framework. The project is headed by Dr. Marc Milner (with 3 other co-applicants). This project is part of our own digital humanities research node.&lt;/p&gt;

 <title>New grant</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;Sieber is part of a new GEOIDE team grant called Spatial and Environmental Injury Surveillance. Nadine Schuurman is principal investigator. In the near future she will be looking for a research assistant to investigate and implement Web 2.0 tools (FOSS) for geovisualization.&lt;/p&gt;
