The snow portion of the conference

Committee member, Steve Liang is ever helpful where it concerns the skiing portion of SKI Canada. From Steve:

Here is a useful tip for saving money. For experienced skiers or boarders, you can save money by purchasing discounted lift tickets in local Costcos (map). If you pick up your car at the airport, you will see the NW Costco on your way driving to Banff (if you take Stoney Trail). And it is a good idea to stop by and pick up cheaper lift tickets. For beginners, you will not require regular lift tickets. You can buy lessons at the ski resort of your choice. And the lessons normally include equipment rentals. Nearby ski resorts are:

1. Sunshine Village (27 minutes drive)

2. Lake Louise (41 minutes drive)

3. Nakiska (51 minutes drive)

4. Norquay (very small, 5 minutes drive)

And please come to Thursday night's mixer. Be social, find a carpool, and enjoy the powder next day. BTW, it's snowing in Calgary at the moment. Next week's weather forecast shows snowing and good temperature.
