Coastal Squeeze Project

This project led by Gail Chmura will provide data on the proximity of constructed barriers to salt marsh migration inland which can then be used to prioritize salt marsh restoration projects executed by community groups funded by the Council's Habitat Restoration Program. The Council has a web disseminated map that displays sites in need of restoration and past restoration projects. The project in collaboration with the Council, Environment Canada and New Brunswick Environment examines ways to integrate the new data with existing databases and further link with other maps available on the Council’s website.
