Successful Roundtable at AAS 2008
We had a successful round table (Integrating Chinese Historical Databases: Issues, Challenges, and Directions led by Grace S. Fong, McGill University, Panel 79) at the Association for Asian Studies 2008 Annual Meeting in Atlanta, Georgia. The discussion, centering on reasons and approaches to integrating multiple databases of interest to scholars of Chinese history such as the China Biographical Database and the Ming-Qing Women's Writings database, was lively and a number of participants indicated their interest in continuing the discussion via email.
